Yes, I Know This Is A Big Hit Song....And I Don't Often Feature Over-Played Tunes.....But, In This Case I Am Making An Exception. This Time Around I'm Featuring This #15 Hit By The Fortunes Because Of The Superb Audio Quality From The Disc I'm Playing It From. It Isn't Often That A "Greatest Hits" Budget Disc Can Rival An Original Copy.....But I Think This One Does. "Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again" Is Being Played From The Compilation LP Called "Rock Me Gently" (featuring the Andy Kim hit)....A Record Released By ERA Records. I Always Thought The Original Recording Of This Great Song Was Just A Bit "Muddy" Sounding On The High & Mid End. Make A Comparison With This Surprisingly Clear And Crisp Analog Version From The Mid 1970's. What Do You Think?

The singer on the far right resembles Tommy Steele. Beautiful song that really creates it's own little movie in your mind.

Looks like the compilation probably is from '75 or so; one of their first recordings for EMI after most of their hits came out on UK Decca. Still have that old Capitol stereo 45; neither it nor the Capitol CD I have are this clean.

I purchased the Capitol 45 and it was an excellent stereo version.  I remember it being one of the few 45's that had album quality stereo.
