Kat Zolita Mason age 16 years in Christchurch, New Zealand. Singing "The Fools Game", off her 1980 album, available on C.D. later c) Kat Zolita Mason 1979.
Kat wrote the songs on this album between the 14 and 16 years of age. The album was recorded in 1980 when Kat was 16...Kat , (then called Kate Blumsky) wore bare feet, punk eye make-up, pierced earrings, a bright green top and black fingernail polish and her Siamese cat Sam sat at her feet. She sang and played at the same time quickly going through the repertoire in one go without stopping. She says she wanted to explore the themes of the masks people, adults really, wear in the album. Her album is dedicated to Margaret and Bryan Barrer, John Blumsky, R.A.K . Mason
Thanks go out in droves to the people who recorded this being Roger Corbett, Rudi Alber and Hilary Barrer for recording this video in 1980. If anyone can help me to get new copies of this album produced and or distributed via donation or sponsorship, I would be very grateful.
