Charted at #86 Billboard Pop in October 1956. Great record! B-side of "Please Don't Leave Me". With the Billy Vaughn Orchestra. It was a #4 R&B hit (and #97 Pop) for LaVern Baker during the same year. Later released as a single by Roy Orbison in 1975. Written by Dorian Burton & Howard Plummer.

LaVern Baker´s original also spend time in the Billboard, but only one week and only went to No.97. It went better on the Billboard R&B chart , where it debuted on Sept 29, 1956, peaked at No.4 and charted for 7 weeks.

I listed LaVern Baker in the description. You may be thinking of Roy Orbison, who recorded it in 1975. His version is also on this channel.

Does anyone know who else recorded this song? I hear a male voice at the back of my head but can't put a name to it. Thank you
