Got a question that been bugging me for the longest. 5th dimension recorded aquarius / let the sunshine in 1969. Became a huge hit. Why did they not sing flesh failures lead in to let the sunshine? Instead they sung aquarius and went right into let the sunshine in

Amazing, isn't it, how "Let The Sun Shine In" is different out of context? We're used to hearing it as this happy hippie anthem in that Fifth Dimension medley with "Aquarius". But in the show, it's more of a desperate plea to the audience...we NEED to let the sun shine on our lives to prevent more senseless wars like Vietnam or more tragedies like Claude's death.
