put this on a mix tape for a girl I wanted to get to know better, we've been together for 25 years now! I love bands like THE FLATMATES, although I'm sure they'd prefer to have been bigger than the Beatles, the handful of great songs they left us are 'pure' recorded as they wanted them (money allowing) without some marketing twerp 'improving' them. PEEL played them, so they must have got something right!

ahh dear old Subway records plasticbag folded paper record sleeves. What a lovely jangly sound thet made. Saw them once as support to The Wedding Present and I think the Close LObsters at Brixton Academy in either 86 or 87.Happy days.
