This song, as with most songs on the "Touch" album, are about Annie being tortured and put under mind control programming. Traumatized people often have multiple personalities. That's where the "Hello, George" lyric comes in. It's one of her other personalities.

Kids are not growing on that music anymore? I think I have to disagree. I started to love Eurythmics when I was 11, now I'm 16 and I still listen to them :) and I don't care that people laugh at me (this bad look-down-on 21st century) greetings from Poland :)

Listening to this makes me miss actual bands and groups as opposed to the individual "artists" (and I use the term very loosely) of today. Music has definitely not gotten any better over the past decade. No creativity, no soul. Just gimmicks and a bunch stupid choreography.

How is this song a rip off of "Funky Town?" And an obvious one at that? I bought this cassette when it first came out back in the day, and I used to wear this song out and never once did I sit and think 'this is a rip off of Funky Town.'

There's more good music than there has ever been, most of wh@ has been made still exists, as we hear here! However, wh@ you say is true, the bilge th@ kids grow up with now is pityful in comparison to wh@ we grew up with. While I say there may be more good music..today it's harder to find than ever before ; getting hidden beneath the talentless gash th@ riddles yoof culture through tv, much of radio & the front 'windows' of iTunes & the like. With some exceptions, ..it's..the...new pol-lu-tion.

I was raised on this album and I still remember this was the first track on the cassette of "Touch." Kids these days don't get to grow up with music like this.

I hear wh@ you mean, but this song is so very different from "Funky Town" th@ to call it "...an obvious rip off...." is imo something of an overst@ement. I largely agree with the rest of wh@ you say here though ☺

Yep, it blew in like a storm....eventually making 'platinum' sales in both the UK and US. "Touch" also just makes it into the 'Rolling Stone Mag' top 500 greatest albums of all time @ #500. It still sounds very cool.
