Coming to charlotte Friday but I have to correct Daniel Blankenship Jameson is a Scottish name. John Jameson sold his families scotch in Dublin which thus became whiskey.

just saw these guys in Baltimore this past sunday (10/13)- flew in to watch/roadie for my oldest mate's band, didn't expect too much from reading the bill before hand, but i'll be damned if i didn't find my new favorite irish punk band- awesome live, great guys to chat with, and their fiddler can saw like a lumberjack!

This has to be the most mature conversation I've ever read in the Youtube comments.

D'aww, thanks. I tend to think owning one's mistakes is important... takes two to fight though, and you've showed more than your fair share of restraint as well. It's a rare day that neither side of a discussion on youtube resorts to name-calling.

You're right. I apologize. I've been contradicted by my own primary sources. The structure is Germanic but it's an English and Scottish name from the era where you either had a noble surname, a trade surname, a place surname, or a surname based on your father's given name. The "James" part of "Son of James" should've been a dead giveaway...

Expect to meet the 'Fighting Brophy's' at the Trocadero this month!! We can never turn our backs on good music! Looking forward to a great night with you lads!

The structure, however, is Scandinavian... it means Son of James in the same way that Svenson means Son of Sven... you can't really talk about any European culture without talking about Viking influence...

Who's the Single Syphilated Wanking Jackalope that gave this a thumbs down? Looks like this Dingle-berry needs a slap in the face! Hands down... excellent music! Anyone that knows better would love this...

Could be either... stems from repeated Scandinavian occupations of Ireland and Scotland...Vikings used to move in, impose their culture, have some "fun", get bored, and leave... all over Europe...
