The Feelies at CBGB around 1978 or so. It's an early version of "Crazy Rhythms" with much different lyrics.

I love the Feelies, but they seem to draw in a crowd of liberal scum. It really sucks that their great music is being listened to by Bed-Stuy hipsters. Just look at the girl in the crowd with the cross armeded "i'm too good to move" look on her face and clear wayfarers. She probably started the movement. RIP the old NYC, I wasn't around then, but I know for a fact the majority of people want the old NYC back.

An American act on the UK label Stiff Records. The Feelies with a 1979 performance at CBGBs in NYC. I love everything about this video including the song, the unfiltered fun that the band is having, and the very mixed crowd watching the show.

Ah yes, Geek rock at it's finest. I bought this album back in 1980 and I still love it to this day. I've got a CD of the album in my car right now. In my opinion, they never matched the beautiful quirkiness of the Crazy Rhythms album, a punk rock (sort of) masterpiece!

are you the nephew of bill who is doing the documentary on the feelies? how is it coming along? feelies are the greatest band ever, maybe even the greatest thing since sliced bread. imo, they're better now, post 2008 than they were ever in the late eighties. maybe not quite as good as they were in the early days, but close.
