Hey great job, I'm curious did you learn this by ear or tab & if so could I get that from you? I'm guessing also that Ronnie's upstroke comes from him playing bass in his Jeff Beck days

I'm old Faces fan. Saw them numerous times in concert back in the early 70's. I have never seen nor heard anyone play their songs as well as you. Always been curious of Ronnie's tone and you've done a good job replicating it. Really nice job. Obviously lots of hard work and practice.

@tomthefunky Hey Tom, could you imagine the thrill of playing some Faces tunes with Mac and Kenny!! Talk about a lifelong dream come true!!... You are quite astute in noticing the picking hand which is overlooked by most. Yes that "stabbing" upstroke is the single most distinctive part of his style and it creates much of his tone. At first I was conscious about when to pick up and down, then it just kinda came natural, but yeah, it's all in the right hand. Thanks again, Jeff

@janmurph: Hell, I bet you'd tear the roof off the place if you, Mac and Jonesy got to jammin'!! And you know who we'd get to play bass? Ronnie Wood!! HAHAHA!!!! Anyway, I notice on your vids you've got a wicked upstroke just like Woody. It's seems to me it's an essential part of his sound. Your picking hand moves exactly like his. Did that come natural to you because you're a die hard fan, or did you have to train your hand to play that way?

@tomthefunky Thanks for the comment Tom, I doubt any of the Faces have seen my vids but how cool would that be if they have.....I would love to jam with Mac and the boys and he does cover some Faces tunes as he co--wrote several great Faces songs. They clearly had it goin on in the 70's and I think their music still holds up today.....still my favourite band hands down! I'll let you know if Mac rings me...... Jeff

HEY NOW!!!! Once again, you nail it, janmurph. I just thought of you because I was listening to a great interview with Ian Maclagan this morning and the DJ was playing some Bump Band songs. The guitarist in that band is friggin' great. He has a way of playing with Woody's style but he also kind of transcends it. Anyway, have you had any contact with a Face or two? Because you must be at least quasi-famous in Faces circles by now. I'm sure Mac has at least heard of you by now. Just curious.
