Although we in the UK don't get the opportunity to see the Fab T's that often, I feel blessed to have seen so many line-ups: Jimmie Vaughan, Nick Curran, and Johnny M. They have all been great, but for me the Star of the show will always be Mr Kim Wilson. My God, he gets hotter the older he gets!!! Greetings from London, UK

Great performance. I wish I was there having a couple of beers and maybe a dance. The guitar sounds amazing. Is Kid Ramos playing just through the Vox? What's the one next to it? I don't think he's using any pedals.

Kid Ramos is a killer guitarist, as is Johnny Moeller. But I saw the T-Birds in '81 with the original line-up and they were the best blues band on the planet IMO. I saw them again in '82 & '85 but they were starting to 'play the hits' and didn't have that edge anymore. Jimmie Vaughan was the coolest guitarist I've ever seen, and I've seen a few.

Exactly!! And, blues playing is not a sport, it's an art!! I dont see why people want to turn it into a contest. And, IMHO, Jimmie Vaughan is probably the most underrated guitarist alive. If Stevie Ray had respect for Jimmie's playing shouldn't the rest of us???

Honestly, this mix is not doing Kid justice. Jimmy would be right on top.... And for the record I think both Kid and Jimmy are fantastic. So there. :)

Its a fantastic line-up but the real magic was the simplicity of the stripped down 4 piece. Like the Stray Cats people will be realizing just how great the original T-Bs are for a looong time to come!! Jimmies rhythm work was totally defined.

I would also add the 4th album (T Bird Rhythm) to the list of classics. I got to see the original JV T Birds several times (with Fran on drums after Mike Buck left)...Great memories,they kicked ass every time(one time in New Orleans on the 2nd or 3rd encore Kim and Jimmy came out and did a duet around 3am with Kim on the drums and harp in a rack!)Saw Kid Ramos with James Harman during the same period.He's a perfect choice to play with the T Birds,then add Gene Taylor for good measure!

Times change whether you want them to or not! I love the original band, saw them 'live' (they sounded incredible, of course) , bought the first three albums upon release...but I think this is superb! Best wishes from the U.K.
