that was the rummer back in 91 when i ordered all their records but that was before the internet. by 94 or so i knew they were a different band but still good. in 91`it was believable but its 2014 if that were the cure the world would know

This is the Cure (Robert Smith) . The essence was created for an artistic outlet for Robert Smith. This allows him to play in smaller venues without the guise of The Cure hanging over him. I know this personally. These are musicians hired to lip sync for the video.

Totalement d'accord avec Aikea Guinea ! Dire que The Essence est un clone de The Cure est absurde ! Pas le meme timbre de voix deja , et The Essence , s'ils ont un son atmosphérique , est beaucoup plus pop , délicieusement pop , moins tourmenté que les anglais , moins plombant aussi ! Je préfère écouter The Essence que The Cure !

My favourite song by The Ess !Who compares with the Cure? I mean of course there's something in the voice.. but, as much as I love The Cure, I don't love the Cure for the same things that I love the Ess for. Obvious! The Ess is pure pop, best ethereal pop... Cure is so psychedelic.. so in the end, I don't even think they're THAT comparable..
