Stevie Wright, another R&R tragedy. It seems today he is suffering from something called Korsafoff's syndrome, AKA wet brain. Apparently when he stopped using heroin he turned to extremely heavy alcohol abuse. It's amazing that after so many years of substance abuse he is still alive although today he suffers from some very serious medical issues. I always like Stevie, he seemed to be a likeable, fun person and it doesn't seem as though he ever harmed anyone but himself. I lived through the era (late '60s, early '70s) of the dead rock stars due to substance abuse and how Stevie survived when so many others didn't is a mystery to me. Stevie always performed atb a high level and entertained many people over the years so we should thank him for that.8 years ago
