In March of 2007 THE EARLY NOVEMBER called an 'indefinite hiatus' much to the dismay of fans across the globe. Everyone felt like the band had so much more to give... so much more life. In 2011 fans were rewarded with their patience as the band not only reformed for shows but also with plans for a new album. 'In Currents' is a record that could have only been made by this band, at this specific point in time. THE EARLY NOVEMBER had to have the experiences they did in the past 10 years which are documented on this new album. The band have grown up, lived life and seen both its beauty and dismay. I agree that it is a tough song that covers a pretty vast range...but he doesn't really do a stellar job with it. I'm actually pretty disappointed with this as a whole, and that's a shame because it's a killer song.9 years ago

he sounds the same as he always has, anyone who is a fan of them from semi early on would agree. I do hate that the producer they worked with doctored up his vocals on the new album. he isn't the best singer but I enjoy his vocals and prefer the natural sound over the pitch corrected sound found throughout the new cd :(10 years ago

no. that's pretty much his range. the version on record is very "doctored" up vocally speaking. i'd say his vocals are sitting pretty well in this mix. if anything you can't hear the guitars, but the bass and drums are mixed well.10 years ago
