Johnny must be a really good friend, because as successful as the Goo Goo Dolls are now, they would be a lot more successful if they have dropped Robby. When he sings at concerts, it's basically like a Goo Goo Dolls intermission.

I have every pressing of this self titled/first release on cd. All mint condition! all RARE collector's items with the true sex maggots/love dolls sound on them. Before they sold out on 'hold me up'. I also have all pressings of the lp in close to mint shape! So anyone who wants them make me offers, you might get lucky :P Btw anyone who is interested in the real dolls before they turned to crap, listen to this record/cd and the one afterwards "jed" to see what they have forgotten exists!

Robbie is/was always the better singer and better songwriter. It was in fact when johnny took over the frontman duties and became the bon jovi of alternative rock is when they went in the toilet. Changed his haircut to bon jovi and the sound to that as well. Everything they did from 'hold me up' and later was all jonny and all pop cheese mainstream ballad radio friendly crap. Everything before 'hold me up' is awesome punk in the vein of Robbie's vision of what sex maggots should be...

unfortunatly ... those days will never back again .... they are on their 40's now, and they will not do something like this cuz they are older ... but im totally agree, on their youth, was a fantastic era,
