Punk is a pretty wide range thing... SLC got pop edge but what's the matter with it? Should all say The Ramones was not punk music because most of the songs are based on (mostly) american pop songs and they were catchy? The Dwarves are mighty anyway listen to them records if you haven't done it yet. Also read Eric Davidson's "We Never Learn", depicts this scene pretty much cool.
