@AMOGLES99 The purpose of all writing and stories(and art) is that one out of every thousand men may reach it, understand it, and form a connection. That his writings are still read, loved, and better yet, understood, by even 1 a million, would probably make Joyce proud

James Joyce was a genius. He's probably the greatest writer of modern times. Nobody else I ever read can be so serious and yet so light hearted, so slow and yet so quick, so clever yet so vague all at once. I can't get enough of him. It's a sad thing though that the literary establishment have discovered him and analyse him to death without seeing the joke.

pity indeed , but the bastard who put him on trial did no favours for the irish either , where in the states are you , i'm in Boston , the cradle of freedom , well it was 234 years ago , now we are led by pricks , talk again .

he was actually put on trial , his corpse was placed in the old bailey and after he was convicted his corpse was hang drawn and quartered , his head was on a pike on the london walls for years , i wont shite talk and pick a number because i cant remember but it was at least 30 , and grand job to you for admitting irish slaves , when i mention it i get lashed , talk again man take care.

it's called The Ballad of Persse O'Reilly from Finnegans Wake by james Joyce. it's about the hero of the story HCE, he fell like humpty dumpty and broke his head. (btw you you don't have to be irish to know something like that)

i have no idea what joyce means about anything but an interesting trivial sidestep about that bastard cronwell he refers to, is that when cromwell took 'drogheda' in 1649 and killed 10000 residents ,the date was sept 11.

it's to do with the "english language". it's a play on words. they forced their language on us , we tuned it , offered it back , but they could not understand it....... teagasc cun saoirse.
