WOW! Check Out This Much Different Version Of The Door's Classic Hit Called "Touch Me". It's From An Album That Was Released In 1974 Entitled "Heavy Metal" By Warner Brothers Special Products. The Engineers That Put The LP Together Decided To Add Some Extra "Punch" To "Touch Me" In Order To Help It Compete In Sound Intensity With Other Songs On The Album By Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin And Black Sabbath. "Touch Me" By The Doors Is No Where Close To Being A Heavy Metal Song....And Neither Are Many Of The Other Tracks Found On This Compilation LP. Nonetheless, Crank It Up For This 1969 Door's Classic In A Rare, One-Of-A-Kind Sound That I Call The "Power Version"!

WOW!!!!!!!! There's QUITE A DIFFERENCE!!!!! Especially when you're talking about hearing it on vinyl. The only CD version I know of that's anywhere close to this is the recent Doors compilation entitled "The Future Starts Here", which contains some nicely juiced-up remixes, especially of the cuts from "L.A. Woman".

"The" Rock God, despite his personal behavior and demons. Easily one of the top 5 voices ever in rock history. Looked great, sang great and wrote great. It's so true that the stars that burn brightest burn shortest. R.I.P. Jim.

It's good, but it kinda sounds like a Phil Spector remix of the song haha

Whoever decided to crank the bass and place it forward in this mix deserves a thank you and a firm handshake. I never realized how awesome it sounded until hearing this. The bass definitely owns this version of the song. The echo on the horns/strings and sax solo is incredible also.
