I know many people don't consider Jim Morrsion to be the greatest of singers (actually, he didn't even think of himself as a great singer), but for me, it gets no better than his voice combined with The Doors phenominal instrumentals. The Doors are by far the greatest rock n' roll band in history as far as I'm concerned.

i actually JUST got done reading that book. yea he was in piano lessons for a few weeks and didnt like it. he also hated singing and rock n roll as a child but eventually (and obviously) grew out of that.

I really love this song... I LOVE the lyrics! The Doors came out with loads of organic music. And this is a really cool and rare song by the Doors... it's just pure 'Doors... magickal : )

this is the best doors song ever. even beats 'my eyes have seen you'. completed after Morrison's death. the end of the song has a beautiful and fitting farewell courtesy of Manzarek. Perfect whiskey reminiscence music.

That's right, Jimbo is on the piano-if you read No One Here Gets Out Alive, it does say he took piano lessons as a child.
