Thisa is real all right and I'll share a personal story. I was not only there, I shared the stage that night with The Doors.  I was news director at KIKX, the station promoting the event. The promoter had promised "and a special surprise guest." Unfortunately, he had nobody in mind.  I went to him with a zany idea ---let me open the show as the "guru" of The Doors. The Beatles had one, after all.  He let me do it. I bought a colorful Nerhru jacket, a wig and moustache----and at Hi Corbett Field in 1967, I went on stage for 15 minutes as the Indian guru of The Doors. I cannot begin to tell you how many screaming girls tried to get to me afterwards. It was surreal---BUT, it DID happen.  Anyone who was there that night (and, there were thousands,) will remember it.  I will certainly never forget it. (Yes, I met Jim Morrison before the show and he was much like he's been depicted...sullen and detatched, but I was told later he laughed about the guru bit.)

alright...so my parents both saw the doors in tucson, arizona in the 60's. my dad remembers him wearing a white shirt (like in the video), but my mom thought it was in 68'...so who knows?
