When you hear so many of the Doobies' songs that are ROCK classics and realize they still aren't in the R and R hall of fame, it's pathetic. This album alone beats the hell out of combined "works" of madona, the runs dmc and every one of this year's inductees except Ringo and Stevie Ray Vaughan. When you throw in The Capatain and Me and What Were Vices Are Now Habits, it's embarrassment city for the dickheads selecting musicians to be enshrined.

Saw them in the Baltimore Civic Center in September, 1974 - - absolutely blew me away! Great concert band with a fine portfolio of classic tunes.

Stampede is the album I've appreciated the most over the decades, thanks to Doobies and especially to Pat and Tommy.

I know man, remember the late 70's (far back as I can go) and radio was much better in those days. Went with sat radio and I'm happy with that, heard south city midnight today :)

Welcome to the corporatization of the radio industry. There was a time (decades ago) when you could call in a request and they'd honor it, but those days are LONG gone. :-(
