Filmed in high definition on 25 July 2004 at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Virginia, "Live At Wolf Trap" captures The Doobie Brothers in fine form on a set that mixes classic hits with some rarely performed tracks from across their extensive catalogue. This would prove to be the last recorded footage of long time drummer Keith Knudsen performing with the Doobie Brothers prior to his sad death from cancer in February 2005.

i seen these guys at least ten times - I was at Tampa Stadium in 1975 with my wife and she was 8 months pregnant with our first child and this guy had been selling LSD to a bunch of Tampa undercover cops - they all had long hair beards , but they were cops. The cops went to arrest him and the guy's buddy pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the Cops .This guy was standing back to back with me and the Cop thought the guy he was arresting stabbed him and pulled his gun and shot the guy in the stomach, I could feel the impact of the bullet since he was up against my back, so I turned around to see the Cop straddled over the guy while holding his stomach and blood was all over his hand , at first i thought the gun going off was a firecracker , and then the Cop aimed his gun at my face and told me to get on the ground , i could see the copper colored bullets and knew it wasn't a joke.I just froze and pleaded with the Cop not to shoot me, finally i said OK I'm getting down , my wife was pulling on my arm while i turned towards the football field , where i saw 40,000 people laying flat on the ground , I was the only dumb-ass left standing.I didn't know he was a Cop until i saw the other Cops holding their Badges and guns up.The guy that was selling the drugs and got stabbed sued the Police department for about $450,000 and won the case. And i almost got my head blown off.

Bottom line is TJ gets a crowd up and rockin'. Him and Pat are the Doobies past and present. MdD is a great guy who helped out when needed. Very humble cool dude. So glad they all still get along. Doobs forever!! Wille G. the Vet

This band was great in ALL IT'S VERSIONS! I know a lot of people love to trashM. McDonald (yea- he did sort of dominate), but like any GREAT BAND, they didn't just stay with one approach and continued to explorer more progressive material and arrangements as the lineups changed.

The sound of that hollow snare drum did nothing for this piece, but they are great.

Timeless & Ageless, figured I'd see more seasoned citizens in the crowd such as myself. :)
