The song was written and dedicated to Tom Johnston who left the group temporarily. Steven Dywer, you're nuts.

This song for my life is forever linked to the loss of my first love, on the day I graduated college, back in 1982. Following it I spiralled down into the abyss.

It's a song that is thrust into a low tide river January/ February morning feel, as to me the production perfectly portrays a intangible coldness. The fade out picks up with a more up tempo feel via a mellotron-soaked and hopeful ending. A beautifully produced, "audio-painted" song!

It's 1976. Traverse City Michigan. Me, my British girlfriend Claire, my 1974 Triumph TR-6 and this tape playing. We used to cruse the Old Mission Peninsula at midnight, top down, listening to this. Park at the lighthouse at the end of the peninsula. Those were the days.

Tiran wrote this song about TOM JOHNSTON, who was ill at the time and had to leave the band.

Enric, they were both from the same era... Geniuses the both bands. I have most of their albums. No bands come near nowadays. Thank you for posting Pappatunsa, and good luck to all you old folk (okay that is a joke, so do not get irritated, as I am 56 and half dead), for listening to quality music... ..

In some ways, it reminds me some songs by Steely Dan. Perhaps because Michael was the former keyboardist in some of their records?

Love this song. It's got that dark cold Winter night NYC streets soul despair feel of the 1970's to it.

My Favorite song by the Doobie Brothers. I always play it in memory of my late sister, Gina Piazza, never to be forgotten. The words haunt, but express my feelings about the pain of addiction! Thanks for finally posting it here!

You know a great song takes it's place through someones agony, despair or joy. This is one that missed the radar since 1976??? I think. For true pinnacle taste listeners, it is sublime. Could not find it you tube for a long time but tonight it has shown up for me.
