Yes this album was released in 1975, right before Tommy Johnston took a vacation from the band for various reasons mid tour in 1976 " Everything You Heard Is True". Michael McDonald a rare talent was not being used much with Steely Dan and was asked to help finish the 1976 tour. The band thought so much of Michael's vocals they asked him to stay and the Grammy Award followed in 1979 and thrust the band into the 80's. They may have very well vapored away. McDonald was a good thing regardless.

No. This is from Stampede, the album prior to Michael McDonald joining the band. Bill Payne (Little Feat) played the piano.

I never knew Michael McDonald played a piano solo on this song yet I have the album on vinyl! You sure learn something new everyday!

Yep. There's a great electric piano solo from Michael McDonald on this track too, which is a rarity from him...
