Mr.Neil Hannon the "british son" of Mr.Burt Bacharach....a delicate taste for the pop music...

L'influence de Burt Bacharagh est évidente.Le alfie en question a t-il un rapport avec le film avec Michael Caine ?

epigrammatic genius in metaphrastic form..one of my favourite songs, even though most people laugh and think it's twee, preferring to digest the illuminati mantra of homologous lyrics and gang rape.

Wow ... I am just discovering this band -- 17+ years too late! Better late than never ... Who knew that Graham Chapman from Monty Python had a son that turned out to be a genius musician!!! ;-P

I know an Alfie Brown from Newport South Wales...He doesn't live up to his name, he'd LOVE to be like 'ALFIE' but he's just too much of a total dick...

I read an interview that he did a while back and he said that when he began to get more well known he found that for the first time in his life women were actually willing to sleep with him Haha! So he took advantage of it for a while, as any of us probably would, but then began thinking to himself, "Hey! This isn't me! I'm not that type of guy!" and so he wrote this song.

Great stuff. Uplifted are the corners of my mouth as I slumber in this internet chair. Seriously - tremendous pop

The guitar solo at the end: So cliche, yet so brilliant!

A posh Irish accent? Yes, it's the kind of accent Ross O'Carroll-Kelly has - a strangulated mix of Home Counties and the Cast of Friends.E.g. they pronounce "roundabout" as "rain-debate".

There's a decent Alfie, near Exeter. Look him up, if you like. Say hello for me, thank'ee.

Always been a fan...but can't help wondering if there's such a thing as a posh Irish accent? Try it when you drunk its most amusing..! I'm very easily amused...also there ain't alot actually funny about Dante's plight through the 9 rings of hell??
