Yes, they replaced 'Don't Fear the Reaper' with this on the Netflix version of the show. My guess is that they didn't have the rights to use the song for streaming (since that wasn't much of a consideration when the episode aired in 2006) and when it came time to put the show on Netflix, 'Reaper' was too expensive (classic usually = expensive) so they went with a much less well-known/cheaper song to replace it.

Yes they did and this is so much better in my opinion, I feel that it really makes those scenes better, it gives a more melancholy feeling.

They changed it on Netflix, most likely for copyright reasons.

When the episode that first showed the Reaper was aired, they played the song from Blue Oyster Cult, but when it came on Netflix they no longer had the rights to the song so they replaced it with this one. Both are great choices for the scene but it all comes down to personal opinion. Hope this answers your question.

On Netflix, this song is played, not Don't Fear (The Reaper). They probably lost the rights to the Blue Öyster Cult song or something like that. :(
