Now, I am a COMPLETE music nerd. I love music (most of it, anyway). About two years ago, I became hooked on Coheed and Cambria. I still admire and have a lot of affection and respect for Coheed, but then I stumbled upon this group with, like, nine members called "The Dear Hunter". I instantly fell in love with the name, seeing as it is clever and funny. The first song I listened to was The Pimp and the Priest. I loved it, and soon became hooked on their other music. They soon took over the number one spot for my favorite band. Then, Migrant came out. I hate Migrant. I feel that the songwriting is lackluster at best; and I feel like TDH tried to conform to more modern pop too much in this album. Hats off to An Escape, though, for being the only respectable song on the album. My favorite album is Act II. I simply adore The Lake and the River, and all of the other songs just seem to have a certain edge to them. Now, on to the musicians. My favorite, surprisingly, is the main drummer, Nick Crescenzo. He is a fantastic drummer. Being a drummer myself, and a very good one at that, I tip my hat to this man, who has blazingly fast hands and can adapt to the type of song in a heartbeat. I love Casey, and I really enjoy it when he leaves the keyboard and plays the guitar. I love his singing voice; it is unique. I enjoy listening to the amazing bass riffs of Sagan Jacobson, and the guitar leads of Andy Wildrick, Josh Serna, and Josh Rheault. The secondary musicians deserve respect, too. I don't feel like naming them, so look up "The Dear Hunter Members" on Google if you want to see what I mean. I have a great deal of respect for The Dear Hunter, and I hope they bounce back from a horrible album in Migrant.

No worries, but now is the perfect time to ask someones opinion about their new album. If you havent heard it you should go check out the songs; Whisper, Shouting At The Rain, and An Escape.

So, i am removing my comments because they take away from the video. These guys deserve more attention than the bands i was talking about, hopefully you'll do the same and flag the top comment as spam.

Can't wait to see these guys. So keen! Always just assume all the bands I like will never make it to Australia.

so glad I am an original fan who knew them back in middle school. I remember showing them to friends, and they just couldn't get into it, but now they love them.
