This fun, young multi-award winning Country Dance Band continue to steamroll their way from strength to strength as they fill the dance halls around Ireland, the UK and now as far as the USA!

They will always attribute their success to the encouragement and enthusiasm of their Father/Grandfather, Christy who played trumpet with the famous Davitts Showband who packed the Dance Halls around Ireland from the 1950’s to the 1980’s! Sadly, Christy passed away earlier this year.

The Davitt Country Band play The Drummond Cricket Club, Limavady on Friday 29th August 2014 with special guest Hugo Duncan. Then they host a major Single Launch Night at the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, Co. Wexford on Sunday 31st with guests Mary Darcy, Denny & The Heartbeats and Tony Davitt! Then it’s back to England and Scotland where they have many fans!

Their current Single, ‘Good Old Country Songs’ was written by Steve Farlow and is a tribute to the great songs that get the dancers out onto the floor!

This Single is dedicated to the memory of Christy Davitt, RIP 2014.
