Surprise, surprise - pissed off, self-righteous jazz fans - haha. You do realize that it's people like you who have made it impossible for new jazz music to be made by all but a select few geniuses who plunge to ever-deeper levels of profundity, simultaneously limiting the audience of people who "get it" to about 100 jazz students per major city, don't you? Congratulations on killing jazz with snobbery and infighting, a genre that started as dance music in whore houses.

Well, if you were expecting to hear jazz, then you're kinda wrong here. The thing is that these guys actually succeeded in doing something that so many jazz musicians fail to do - making this song their own and make people like this who would never have listened to Steely Dan. But if you're too narrow-minded to find beauty in what challenges your musical taste, then you cannot be helped.
