punk is a state of mind and a way of life that's been around for a long time (1960's) and there are many bands that play many genres that are included in that. punkrock music evolved from the punk moment not the other way around. just for sake of argument all these band are considered punk no matter the genres of music they played and all had massive impact on the scene and the world.
