The sign of a good band is that no one can copy, the Killers etc. all sound like indie bands from the 80's but no one dares to copy the Smiths and the Cure because they were one off's truly orignal and excellent but you can't produce these kind of bands every year especially on X Factor but the record companys would like to try.

Awesome Mate, i've seen The Cure 3 Times and hopefully to See Them Again, My Fav Band Ever, and as you said, they don't play for money, they play for their fans. The best 9 hrs of my life in the Best 3 Concerts Ever.

one of the best LIVE bands EVER !!!!!! ive seen them 6 times and they never played less than 3 hours !!!!! and this for low prices....they play for their fans and not for money......outer space atmosphere and magic songs....remembering my youth...thx guys....ur still a great band and u will always be....keep on rocking !!!!!!!!

I have been a cure fan since I was in eighth grade. I wish so bad that I could see them in concert. The closest they ever came to me was when they were in Toronto and that was 2 hrs away, I would have went but did not know they were there until that night and I had to work. I was devastated.

So I listened to it again. I still don't think I'd call it a song. Sounds more like an intro or movie background music. No tempo changes, no lyrics (or was he singing very quietly?) just the same thing over and over. I kept waiting for "the song" to start. Very hypnotic, good for meditation or lulling people to sleep.

Well now I know why it's called the Plain Song. It's very plain. Good for putting people to sleep. I like the Cure but not too impressed with this (in case you couldn't tell).
