Yes it seems that way. I think their sound has really improved from most of the last decade. I always liked their sound from the early years 79-82, for the simplicity, rawness and urgent energy. I thought their best sound though, was 85-87 (i.e. cure in orange) and 90-92 (i.e. Play Out). They sounded decent live around Bloodflowers, but after that, I think the sound went downhill a lot. But Since Reflections ('11) and nowadays, they sound much much better (again).

This is my favourite song from The Top album! Not seen it live since '84 either! Loving the line-up, they sound so much better with a second-guitarist, they sounded week at Bestival! Thank you Reeves! ;)

they (Robert?) performormed songs of their flop albums "the top" and "wild mood swings" and they still sound amazing. Luv them forever, never had the chance to hear those songs live ...
