The Manhattan Transfer version was a homage to this wonderful group. As good as the MT song was, they simply could not reproduce the fantastic background singing of the Cufflinx. The Cufflinx version is doowop to the Nth degree - perfect n every way!

I had forgotten all about this song until I heard the Manhattan Transfer version. Between that time I was too wrapped up into what was happening in the world. I heard that newer version and thought, How could I have let all of that wonderful music just slip away from me?! But, I remembered them all from then on....Thank you so much for this wonderful music!!!!!!!!!

Jumpin' Bill

A big hit in Cities by the Bay, San Francisco & Oakland. KSAN San Francisco, Jumpin' George Oxford, and Oakland, Bouncin' Bill Double Day. Go to the Bay Area Hall Of Fame and you can listen to two of the great DJ's of our time. At last count Bill was still alive at 83. L. A. was big but the great sounds came out of S. F. Tipa Tina The Five Swans, Gaylarks Tell Me Darling, Morrine The Five Campbells, WPLJ The Four Duces, Park Your Love The Five Notes, MTYLTT and on and on...
