AWESOME version of Ballrooms of Mars by The Cruxshadows. Original by T-rex. Gotta love Rogue's voice.

Lyrics:

You're gonna look fine

You're primed for dancing

You're gonna trip and glide

All over the trembling planes

Your diamond hands

Will be stacked with roses

And the wind and cars

And people of the past

I'll call you thing

Just when the moon sings

And place your things you stole

Upon every star

And gripped in the arms

Of the changeless madman and

We'll dance our lives away

In the Ballrooms of Mars

You talk about day

I'm talkin 'bout night time

When monsters call out

The names of men

Bob Dylan knows

And I bet Alan Freed did

There are things at night

That are better not to behold

You dance

With your lizard leather boots on

And pull the strings

That change the faces of men

You diamond browed hag

You're a gutter- gaunt gangster

John Lennon knows your name

And I've seen him

I've seen him

Crucify me, but I like this one better than the original.Bolan sort of spat out his lyrics at random.

@Sundermize The Cruxshadows' style of music calls for a lack of vocal tonality. Most (if not all) Gothic bands have this in common.

@WINTERBORN6 Echoes and Artifacts was released in 2001 from Dancing Ferret Discs, is not a compilation album- but a full-length studio album by the Cruxshadows which only contains a 2:11 ratio of cover songs. For those of you who say this version is not as good as T.Rex's version is a matter of opinion. Rogue had created it to fit his style of musicianship and pays homage to the late, great glam band T. Rex.

i really dont like this cover. the singers voice doesnt change tone like marc's. i mean thats ok if you do it with your own things i guess. but what made T.Rex so good was that his voice was pretty much magical making his music what it was and still is. magical.

I prefer this version. You can actually dance to this version, I think the original is a little too slow.
