So this is Sonny Curtis who was a teenage friend of the late Buddy Holly who took over his part in 1959 with the Crickets after Buddy's death. Well, at least the Crickets could now still preform their original hits with a new lead but not the same. I was looking to see if the Bobby Fuller Fours Version was the first but I never knew about this one by S. Curtis and the Crickets. :D Neat.
