I will always think of The Movie Clue when I hear this song... God, was that movie funny; and the cast, especially Martin Mull, was hilarious...

Alex Rex - You comment that the "real Song is The Chords SH-Boom", Why exactly is that ? Because you were told the icky, white, Crew Cuts "stole" the song from The Chords, who were being held back by "the man" . lol. Vocalists & musicians have always recorded individual recordings of "the-current-songs-of-the-day" going back to the beginning of recorded music, either because they personally liked a song or because a label or studio owner or a manager did. There was no such thing as "stealing" and it had little to do with "the man". Did you know that The Teen Queens, a black group, recorded or covered the song, "Until The Day I Day", which was originally recorded by The Tears, who were white ? Did you know that The Cuff Links, also a black group, covered, "So Tough" , which was a song first recorded by The Casuals, who were white ? The Charms, The Dyna-Sores, etc. etc. all did some covering, but nobody screamed racism, why ? Because the white performers understood that their songs would certainly be recorded by other performers, as when The Shields, recorded The Slade's original, "You Cheated (You Lied)", so they just expected it. Do some research of the songs from the 1940's, for example, and you'll see how often performers recorded whatever current song, regardless of who composed it or who recorded it first, whenever they felt like it. Today's political correctness has gotten to be real stupid. The Crew Cuts version of "Sh-Boom" had their own stamp on it, for it was more of a swing number, than just four guys singing by themselves in front of a microphone, with a couple of background musicians filling in. If my comment doesn't apply to you, than just ignore it, but it will certainly apply to someone eventually, because too many people, say negative things about performers, such as The Crew Cuts, w/out doing any research.

Not only is this great music to listen to but it's got lots of truth behind it. I love this song.
