Lyrics:

Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah

Silenced by dead in the grave

(Nah, nah, nah, nah)

William Butler Yeats vouldn't save

(Nah, nah, nah, nah)

Why did you stand here?

Were you sickened in time?

But I know by now

Why did you sit here, oh

Oh...

In a grave

In a gra-a-ave

In a grave

In a gra-a-a-ave

Why should I blame her,

That she filled my days with misery

Or that she would of late

Have taught to ignorantmen

Most violent ways

Or hurled the little street upon the greant

Had they but courage

Equal to desire

Sad that Maud Gonne couldn't stay

(Nah, nah, nah, nah)

But she had McBride anyway

(Nah, nah)

And you sit here with me

On the Isle Inistee

And you're writing down everything

But I know by now

Why did you sit here, oh

Oh...

In a grave

In a gra-a-ave

In a grave

In a gra-a-a-a-ay--

Ladee de da

Ladee de da

Ladee da

Dadee dada da

Ladee de da

Ladee de da

Ladee da

Dadee dada da

(William Butler, William Butler, William Butler, William Butler)

Why did I blame her?

...

Had they but courage equal to desire

...

I gave her courage equal to desire

P.S. Sorry about disabling the comments. I might put them back up eventually, but at the moment I'd rather not. Anyway, thanks for watching my video!!! : )

And Maud Gonne refused Yeats' marriage proposal, and was also a major revolutionary.

Here's a quick summary; Yeats was an Irish senator who was very fond of Maud Gonne, who in return was fond of McBride an Irish General, who was executed by the English during their hostile take over of Ireland.....

it's morrigan ,shes from the celtic mythology, but maude gonne stole yeats heart but denied his love, when he was rejected he even proposed to her daughter( him an old man and the daughter only a child). maude gonne married john macbride (who was executed in the easter rising) and their son sean had a large part to play in irish independence. sorry to go off the point but i LOVE history.
