It's out of print , plus the masters came up missing. They done it in 1978, but had to make do with inferior tapings when they finally released it in1998. While they still perform together, Susan is the only one releasing new music on CD's. Mostly all written by her and they're very good.

One of the best bands of the 60's that are still preforming today. Three notable LP's "Global", "The Cocaine Drain" and "Painting The Day" They don't mention "Cocaine Drain" on their website and it is very hard to find, but it is one of their best LPs. Most of their works can be bought on Amazon.

It never amazes me how easily the words of these old songs, come rushing back into my brain as if they'd been used every day for the past 40 plus years!

I hate to even say this but I think those high-pitched occasional weak notes were coming from Susan. I don't believe she could ever mess up! But she was turning 12 in '71 and her voice was beginning to change at this period of time. I'm sure she wasn't amused by it.

I wonder how many of our children have heard Puff The Magic Dragon. I think not very many.....and that's sad.

He missed "One gray nite it happened, Jackie Paper came no more". It shows this is definitely a live performance. Bud probably kicked his ass from here to next Tuesday for that.

No. This song is based upon a poem called "Custard The Dragon". (My Dad read it to us as kids.) A poem concerning a little girl, Belinda, and Custard, her pet dragon, and the adventures they had together.

Is that Bob Cowsill singing lead? He sounds like Peter Yarrow.

Don Grady had his own band called The Yellow Balloon with a hit song similarly titled. It is a very cool song. Check it out.

Was the Cowsills father comparable to Murry Wilson of the Beach Boys?

I recently watched the showtime doc on the Cowsills. It was facinating. I am Susans age and spent many summers in Middletown RI in the late 60's & early 70's . They were/are truelly talented with a great sense of humor. I wish them the best.
