Best Album of the past year in my opinion. This album is the perfect mix of Djenty feels and a progressive movement that the genre seems to be taking. Tesseract and Disperse are both bands that are in this movement. Amazing album. Compared to the older Contortionist material this has been a fresh feel that was felt with intrinsic but has been polished.

Had the privilege of seeing Opeth, Periphery and The Contortionist play live within a span of 6 months. All three bands hold a special place in my heart and come from different period in time and hence cannot be compared. While both Opeth and Periphery shows were great as usual, The Contortionist blew me away with their live performance. New favorite band.
