----------------------------

1. Q: Is "The Silver Cord" going to sound more like "Albatross" or like your Acoustic EP "Seattle Sessions"?

A: The Silver Cord will by far be our heaviest, darkest album yet. We take pride in making diverse music, so "The Silver Cord' is going to feature our more heavy songs that we haven't previously shown our fans.

2. Q: How many song is your new album going to have. Its going to have more than 7 right?

A: This next record will have 15 tracks. We felt like every song was important to the story being told so we didn't cut any songs.

Honestly this song doesn't specifically mention "God" so it can be applied to any faith (and I do believe it is about faith).

I didn't even realize they were a Christian band until I scrolled down. I'm not Christian, but this music is too damn good.

Matt writes about what he knows. So yes, there are many connections to Christian beliefs and ideals. But the whole silver chord story just kinda resonated with where they were as a band.

I never look at the label for that? I could care less, no they are not a declared christian band because they are not only playing christian music. But IE. The whole Cd The Silver Chord, is the struggle of a man through finding himself and the reason to live and finding god after it all that he is never alone. (in a super summed up easy way).

sure the lyrics might have some christian influences but that does not mean they should be associated with religion. Matt McDonald himself said they are not a christian band or a religious band for that matter and only reason why they are associated with religion is because the record label is a christian record label

Do you listen to the lyrics or...?

are we still associating this band with religion? isn't it already established that this band isn't religious? Hell, the lead singer himself daid he wasn't religious! Just shut up and enjoy the fucking music!

How did u do that?

Exactly. We're going to die, our bodies are going to wilter and rot and decay. Yet having faith for us means we fully believe where we're going after. I for one am not the slightest bit scared of death. I'm not trying to be a high and mighty keyboard warrior and I'm genuinely not scared of death, but this is what I fully believe, with every fibre of my being.
