I'm new to the whole country style music scene. Can anyone recommend me some artists with this sound/style? Like slow, with melodies almost nostalgic inducing. I don't really like what I hear on the radio. Seriously, any artists. Preferably with a female vocalist. All I found was Alison Krauss. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance. :)

This song reminds me of the city. Last year during the summer I found their album at starbucks and bought it one day before work. Fell in love with this song. For the whole summer when I would walk downtown in the heat, I would listen to this song, and it made me feel like I was in a movie. Especially when I would sit out on the patio of the starbucks building and it was overlooking the waterfront of the city, with all the boats and cruise ships docked. I can't explain how it made me feel like I was in a movie but it did. I guess because it has that beautiful atmospheric tone to it that you would hear in movies, and it ends up not just bringing out the character of the movie, but the scenery also. Everytime I listen to this song now, I think of the summer, and the city and how truly wonderful it was. I Hope to get back there one day.I was so sad that I was unable to find them before they broke up. What a wonderful treasure they are, and I will always cherish their music!

I just watched "The Civil Wars Wins Best Country Duo/Group Performance" (on YouTube) They won for this song. Check it out! John Paul gets up to accept the award by himself and THEN doesn't even "thank" or mention JOY in anyway! WOW....what an ass! It's called a DUO meaning TWO! And we wonder why they broke up!!! I love love love the Civil Wars. But John Paul has dropped down about 50 pegs off the ladder for me. I'm so disappointed in him!! ;(
