From 1958 - remember Guy Williams as the dashing outlaw on our black and white T.V.'s? - this single reached into the charts based on the popularity of that show - got to #17 in the U.S.

Interesting cover of this song by The Chordettes. On the TV show it was sung by males. The Chordettes did an ok job.

Here it is where it all began for me. The summer of '58 I was 10. On a beach one bright sunny afternoon, I heard a song coming from a little plastic box that someone had. It was a song about my favorite Disney hero - Zorro. Not necessarily a great song unless you were there. Remember the date (4 years before American Graffiti was set). Transistor radios were brand new, as were Pop radio stations. Sony's radio, the TR-63, released in December 1957 cost $39.95 (equivalent to $336 today). A whole new world opened up to me that day, literally out of the air. Enter music into my life as a major driving force.
