well the world used to be sunny

and jokes used to be funny

but now you're gone

and everything's turned around

well the world used to be warm

and there never was a storm

but now you're gone and

everythings turned upside down

and now it's cold outside

and the rain is pouring down

and the leaves are turning brown

can't you see

that now it's cold outside

and it's all because of you

'cause there's nothing i can do

to make you love me

Of course, two of the members of this band wound up as part of the Raspberries.

I never knew that this was the original version. My favorite band is The Queers who have a lot of covers of older songs like this. I always thought "It's Cold Outside" was their (The Queers) original song, but I like this one too. :-)

One of my all-time favorite songs. I probably wore out the 45 I used to have. And, yes, I'm from Cleveland, too. Thanks for posting this.

@jeff65623 Yep. I was born in Cleveland, OH, but I spent most of my life in England. I kept in touch with my mates on The North Coast (Cleveland, OH) all through the 1960s. We didn't get into a recording studio, but, we had a lot of fun anyway. We did a fair cover of this one.
