The words are clear and the music is great also. Eugene Record was and is the best tenor singer there ever was, That's my opinion and I will always stick by it. It's true a one man bans plays aii alone. I love this song.

Good version. Yeah, I think Thom Bell wrote an produced this for Ronnie Dyson and he put it out first. I don't remember it getting much play in Philly because Ronnie Dyson recorded there and that's where Thom Bell/Philly Int'l were. Since I'm a Chi-Lites and Ronnie Dyson fan l'm glad I found this.

@909kong I believe Ronnie Dyson did the original, and The Chi-Lites sort of polished it up, although it's hard to tell because both records were released the same year.
