Charted at #33 on Billboard Hot 100 in August 1964. This group was one of the inspirations for the movie, "That Thing You Do". This was their only big hit. One of my favorite songs from the early 60's. So fun to dance to. Yes, we danced back then, lol.

Vernon Sandusky the lead guitar player, left of the drum, became the lead guitar player for Roy Clark for 25 years or more. Vernon was raised on a farm near Mound Valley, Ks. and graduated from high school in Altamont, Ks. He is one shouting "One More Time" on the record.

They also recorded as the Beatles tribute band, the Manchesters, on the misleadingly-titled "Beatlerama" LPs back in 1964.

I saw them live in 1965 at the DC Armory. They opened for Dino, Desi, and Billy who were awful by comparison.

I just met John Dubas for the first time Easter Sunday 2014. I never heard of the Chartbusters before then. The stories of the places and people they met through the years were still fresh in his heart and mind. They played with some of the greatest artist of that era. Thanks for making a difference.

I first heard this song when I was 16 on a compilation album my friend's dad had. It was full of 60s American garage bands. Great tune, really.....

I am hearing this record for the first time since july 1964! Thank You TheLimePopsicle for finding it! How can a rocker like this hide for 48 years? Brit Pop to rival the Fab Four! Yes!

@rockola63, I was raised in the Frisco area and never heard this song in 1964 even though I listed to the Top 40's stations KEWB, KYA etc. When I was stationed near New York City in 1966, I heard this song quite often on the popular Rock station out of NYC (don't recall call sign). I actually thought for many years that this song was released in 1966. Apparently it never was popular on the Left Coast back in the Sixties.
