I remember buying this when it came out, which was a rare thing: buy a single, (ok, it was a 12") especially a recent release, as my tastes were "not what would be considered at all congruent with the expected/usual purchaser demographic" or some such marketing thingy / A&R bollocks . I had no idea whatsoever as to who The Charlatans were. But I'd heard this when exposed to Crapital radio in a minicab, immediately loved it and still do. And it woke me up to the fact that UK music had - by then for quite some time - started to get very good again....
