True, but they were definitely influenced by these guys. And they were from Manchester. If you listen to "Supersonic", and especially if you watch the video, they fit in pretty damn well with the Madchester stuff. Liam's moves, too. Totally influenced by the Charlatans.

@505mlovely it was a 1991 compilation called best of indie top 20 which had the happy mondays, the farm and this was the third song, I had the tape but I left it in Bolivia in 2006, most bizarre. Have a look on Amazon, I think it is around!
