The angels in heaven couldn't sing any better on Judgement Day. I was just 10 years old when that song came out and nevr heard of it until now on Youtube. But I can imagine dancing to that song and so many others. Today, I can barely stand to listen, leat alone dance to the so called music.

I am 70 and I am so lucky to have lived those great years. I was also a DJ back in the early 60s, a time when a song had meaning that we could understand. I did not dance to the great music of The Chantels as I had a rock and roll band and we played everywhere. There is no music today for young people to associate with and that is a shame. Older people pls just hold onto the good times music and pass it on to your grandchildren for them to remember. I did this with my granddaughter and she is now so thankful that I did. She know all the oldies by heart.

Their harmony sounds like angels perfect, just perfect is all I can say. Never heard anything like it. Just perfect vocals & harmonizing. Most of their recordings are jewels. This group deservedly earned a place in the hall of fame of recording. The "Great Chantels."

Arguably the best female voice in R&R. The purity, range and passion puts it ahead of most others. To round out my top 5 I'd add Ronnie Spector, Darlene Love, Karen Carpenter and Dusty Springfield. 6&7? Timi Yuro and Carla Thomas.Aretha? She's in class all by her self.
