The Sensational Sixties!!!...I was two years old when this song came out!...As much as the times were turbulent with Vietnam and Civil Rights and assassinations the music was definitely the coolest to dance to and let loose...The pop and rock scenes were exploding with constant new sounds...There was hardly any music videos in the way of short promos to view the bands. You had to listen to the music from the radio!!!...If you were lucky to see the acts on variety shows, which there are none today, you had to depend on your ears to LISTEN to the music!...Which is what its all about anyway...isn't it?!?...Now it's mostly visual!...Which is sad, because without the aid of hot chicks and visual effects, 80 percent of the music sucks today!!!...My generation was the last to hear the BEST in pop and rock culture...
