Great guitar solo here. I like this band a lot. I never knew so many of The Call songs were, (like most of U2's songs are), about GOD. That's a shame, cuz I really like the music and lyrics. Yet, both U2 (Bono) and Michael do a nice job of referencing GOD, and not jamming it down your throat. There's nothing worse to an agonistic like myself than having that or any other belief system jammed down your throat. Nothing worse. Nothing.

I totally agree. I saw them once, in the early 2000s. I'm not typically a bass guy, but I was completely mesmerized by his bass playing. It was a magical experience, and I'm so glad I saw it. I was devastated to hear about Michael's death.

I'm extremely jealous that you saw The Call live grrrr. I don't even know if they ever made it to Australia but The Walls Came Down was always a popular song at parties (although very few people knew what it was about due to it's cathy refrain) and some of the songs from Modern Romans at least made the airwaves

When kids nowadays flaunt their "indie" bands and "alternative rock" I just smile and thank my lucky stars I could cruise cross country in the eighties with The Call in my cassette deck. Solid, solid band.
