wish i had an answer for that!!! i wonder that about some groups i like as well like Jurassic 5, Wolfmother, Jet, the Fratellis, and the Black Keys! one answer could be is that Kids nowadays would rather listen to this watered down pop crap that is overplayed NONSTOP!!! i honestly can't believe anyone would want to listen ESPECIALLY to One Direction!!! Try listen song " Kerosene " Big Black in compared with this song "Spirit" sound like pop."Pop song" is not always negative meaning."Spirit" have elements and structure of pop song.Caesars have clear guitar sound in comparison with synth turbo pop like lady gaga etc.Is not same thing.....
